Paul Robertson

Paul is a seasoned expert in commercial real estate development, having spent over 40 years directly involved in all aspects of development including planning, financing, architecture and design and construction.

Paul began his real estate career in 1978 with the prestigious firm of Spaulding & Slye ultimately becoming its managing director responsible for investment real estate development and owner advisory services in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. In this capacity, he served as project manager or principal-in-charge for more than 3.6 million square feet of space. In 1987, Paul was named a Partner and became a managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle when the companies merged in 2006.

A Certified Public Accountant, he has also served as senior investment manager on over 3.1 million square feet of properties and more than 2.1 million square feet of joint venture development. Some of Paul’s significant projects include; Victory Center, Alexandra, Virginia, 80 M Street SE and 140 M Street, SE, Washington, DC, Shady Grove Executive Center, Rockville, Maryland, and Rockledge Centre, Bethesda, Maryland, just to name a few.

After Paul retired from JLL, Paul joined EXDO as a Senior Development Consultant to help EXDO navigate the rapid expansion and development of the RiNo neighborhood, parlaying his extensive real estate development experience. Today Paul serves as the company’s Chief Development Officer, and is principally involved in all EXDO’s development activities.

Paul is a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a B.S. in Engineering. Paul is also a graduate of the Harvard School of Business where he earned his MBA.

Paul and his wife Alexandra love to travel and spend their time between Bethesda, Maryland, New Orleans, Louisiana and Denver, Colorado. Paul has three grown children and four grandchildren.
